A great history since 1938
The original RNZAF Base Wigram Officers Mess was built in 1938, it served officers of Royal New Zealand Air Force Base Wigram for decades. During its time it would see royal visits, dining ins, graduation parties, dinners and events for International delegations.
Elegantly renovated in early 2021, RNZAF Wigram No.1 Officer’s Mess has been transformed to a design-minded boutique hotel in the heart of Wigram/Hornby suburb. The Wigram Hotel has a modern style with historic bones, this urban oasis hold 28 deluxe rooms set amid beautiful outdoor gardens and features stunning conference and event spaces with original architectural features. St. Mark’s Chapel in the grounds is the ideal venue for weddings and small events.
